George Valsan Secondary School Romania

George Valsan Secondary School is a school with extensive experience in developing educational projects both nationally and internationally. Among them e-Twinning projects where we met with project partners, who implemented the previous year a successful project awarded quality certificates both nationally and at European level.

Our school has about 580 students, 16 classes 6-11 years of primary education, secondary education and 9 classes of 12 to 16 years, with about 40 teachers, including 30 tenured positions.

For students with special educational needs have two itinerant teachers or support teachers.

Our school is located in the center of Amara, baleoclimaterică resort town. Amara city is one of the most beautiful cities in southeastern Romania, is well known nationally because Amara mud sludge, which has therapeutic effects.

Also in the city of Amara is the biggest arboretum in southeast Romania, which has about 70 hectares.

Our school is involved in a September 2014 Erasmus project K2, which is coordinating Poland. In October 2015 our school has been assessed by the national ARACIP and was accredited with good marks.
